Allah Ta’ala in the Quraan Majeed refers to the Jewish group named Banu Nadhir’s ploy to kill Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam. When Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam had received this news of their cunning plan, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam decided to exile them for going against the agreement. Abdullah b. Ubayy convinced Banu Nadhir not to leave as he had a army of 2000 men ready to fight. The Jews agreed to Abdullah b. Ubayy
Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam with his honourable Sahabah Radhiyalluhu Anhum did not hesitate and went, the Jews took cover in their fortresses and the hypocrites hid for their lives. The Sahaba-e-Kiraam Radhiyalluhu Anhum began felling their date palms and this was enough for them to be gripped with fear and terror causing them to leave. This teaches us the power of R’ab which is a major weapon Allah Ta’ala places in the hearts of the Kuffaar.

Ayah No. 2
Translation:
He is the One who expelled the disbelievers of the People of the Book from their homes at the time of the first gathering. You did not expect that they would leave, and they deemed that their fortresses would protect them from Allah. But Allah came to them from where they did not expect, and cast fear in their hearts when they were spoiling their homes with their own hands and with the hands of the believers. So, learn a lesson, those who have eyes.
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam gave them the option of taking whatever camelry and cavalry they desired apart from their weapons. They started took rip their doors and whatever they could from their homes. This is what is meant by the above verse that they destroyed they own homes and referring to the believers destroying their homes refers to the mere felling of trees outside their fortresses.
