A Revert Brother pours out,
Assalamualaikum
Rest assured I am a revert. I am not boasting but I am actually disgusted at this and I saw the article on Jamiatul Ulama SA drowning in disgrace begging for R80 000 but I want to alert you of Nurul Islam begging for R3 Million. I used to attend Nurul Islam Masjid but now I have decided that enough is enough. The only thing that they really encourage us is to dig deeper. I thought brothers were making a fuss and just being petty but I realised these are the scholars for dollars.
I am sick and tired of that statement. We come to the Masjid for Allah and they using us for their agenda. I am not the only one. Believe it or not, many individuals have stopped coming. Wonder why they keep on asking for more funds? Aren’t they supposed to be downscaling?
The public has lost trust in them. This is not Islam and I did not leave Hinduism for their nonsense! More people need to come out and speak out! This is oppression of the highest degree.
Just look at this, “We require R3 000 000 a year to run the center”. If you don’t have the funds just close up. We lost trust in them anyway. When members of the community address the situation, they push it under their new carpets.
Nurul Islam had their Seerah Jalsah up in the North but believe it or not, the program had many empty chairs. Now you losing numbers and why milk us the Musallees?
