The Ijtimaa since we know it never used logo’s of organisations. It was always based on a point of the six points namely, Ikhlaas. The elders of Tabligh of the past were dead against adding logo’s of organisations to promote the Ijtimaa.
For those who do not know, the meshwera is where major decisions are concluded upon. If this critical role is done in partnership with an interfaith organisation under their banner of ‘dawah wal irshaad’ then it raises many hard hitting questions.
The elders of the past would sit with a map having a ‘fikr’ of how a Jamaat could walk on every street, spreading the greatness of Allah Ta’alaa in every home. Today it seems in South Africa, Jamiatul Ulama SA and their ANC agenda is the fikr for every home.
All of a sudden an organisation filled with total rijs who encourages SA and lately and clearly Lenasia citizens to pray with Christians and Tamils is claiming to play a major role in the Ijtimaa.
This leaves a major stain on the Ijtimaa’ and if the elders of Tabligh South Africa do not stop this then we will then have to raise the bold question, what has happened to Ikhlaas and being totally independent of using names of organisations in general to promote the Ijtimaa. Dependence was always fully on Allah Ta’ala. Nay, but here the worst organisation who Blatantly calls people to kufr is being used? Muslims in Lenasia were encouraged to pray with a Christian who mentioned “O Father!”.
We need our Emaan. We attended these Ijtimaa’s to boost our Emaan. Now what can we say if it is being used to boost the image of an organisation that is calling us to lose our Emaan? Rescuing our Emaan becomes priority which means breaking away from anything that will risk the loss of it!
