A KHANQAH THAT NEEDS ISLAAH

Question:
We often attend Esha Salaah at Khanqah Zakariyya but we noticed that students who are doing the Aalim course sitting inside the Masjid right till the Salaah for Esha starts. They having a good chat disturbing all those attempting to make any ibaadah. This is not a once off thing, it continues and nobody in the Khanqah even whispers to warn them.
To top it off the Masjid notice board had poster for Seerah Jalsah for days until we removed it finally. We did put up the advice of Haaji Nakooda Rahmatullahi Alaihi prohibiting clearly against the Seerah Jalsah TV actors but it did not blend too well with their agenda and hence it was removed.
Answer:
A name says it all. Khanqah supposed to be a warm place to connect with Allah Ta’alaa not a place which is inviting to Haraam gatherings such as the Seerah Jalsah where the speakers encourage in interfaith and speakers impress mingling and lounging with Hindus, priests, rabbis.
The Khanqah is named after Hadhrat Sheikhul Hadith Rahmatullahi Alaihi but when we study the life of Hadhrat Sheikh (Nawwarallahu marqadahu) then we find only Noor. The opposite of what Khanqah Zakariyya is promoting.
There are eye witnesses that mention Hadhrat Sheikh Rahmatullahi Alaihi would have spies ensuring nobody talks during i’itikaaf. If they do they would be expelled as they are disturbing others.
Go and see Khanqah Zakariyya in Lenasia during Ramadhan, the House of Allah Ta’alaa is turned into a fruit and vegetable market.
Study the lives of our Akaabireen, they had order and in that order they had real men with zeal.
Students supposed to be monitored and seated in the first staff. If these basics are not instilled then they are just donkeys with loads on their backs. Don’t you see, the students today carry their Kitaabs with backpacks. Once you lost adab you lost it all.
Mufti Shafee Saheb Rahmatullahi Alaihi quotes this verse:
Quran – Surah No. 62 الجمعة
Ayah No. 5
The example of those who were ordered to bear (the responsibility of acting upon) the Torah, then they did not bear it, is like a donkey that carries a load of books. Evil is the example of those who have rejected the verses of Allah. And Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Mufti Shafee Saheb Rahmatullahi Alaihi says:
The Example of a Non-Practicing Scholars
Commentators have stated that the example given by the verse for Jews applies to any religious scholar who does not act upon his knowledge.
A Persian poet has put it thus:
نہ محقق بود نہ دانش مند
چار پایی برو کتابی چند
He is neither a scholar, nor a knowledgeable person.
He is but an animal of four legs, carrying the load of some books.
As for their promotion of the Seerah Jalsah, they will be questioned for their hand in promoting vice.
Allah Ta’alaa says:
وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ
And do not assist in vice and transgression
Suratul Maaidah, verse 2
They can remove the Haqq said by the true Awliyaa of Allah Ta’alaa such as Haaji Nakooda Rahmatullahi Alaihi and his stern advice against the Seerah Jalsah but they cannot remove it from the hearts of people. It is no wonder Hadhrat Sheikhul Hadith Rahmatullahi Alaihi chose Haaji Nakooda Rahmatullahi Alaihi as his successor. Now you will get the name ‘Khanqah’ but inside bare of the fear of Allah Ta’alaa.
Sayyiduna Abu Ad-Darda Radhiyyallahu anhu said:
“We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) when he raised his sight to the sky, then he said: ‘This is the time when knowledge is to be taken from the people, until what remains of it shall not amount to anything.”
So Ziyad bin Labid Al-Ansari said: ‘How will it be taken from us while we recite the Qur’an. By Allah we recite it, and our women and children recite it?’
He (ﷺ) said: ‘May you be bereaved of your mother O Ziyad! I used to consider you among the Fuqaha of the people of Al-Madinah. The Tawrah and Injil are with the Jews and Christians, but what do they avail of them?'”
Jubair said: ”
So I met ‘Ubadah bin As-Samit (Radhiyyallahu anhu) and said to him: ‘Have you not heard what your brother Abu Ad-Darda (Radhiyyallahu anhu) said?’
Then I informed him of what Abu Ad-Darda (Radhiyyallahu anhu) said.
He said: ‘Abu Ad-Darda (Radhiyyallahu anhu) spoke the truth. If you wish, we shall narrate to you about the first knowledge to be removed from the people: It is Khushu’, soon you will enter the congregational Masjid, but not see any man in it with Khushu’.'”
Tirmidhi 2653
Comment: The Jews and Christians had the Tawrah and the Injil but it was of no avail to them. What will you say about our condition today, big Khanqah but the teachings of the Quraan Shareef put aside as we do not want to do Nahi Anil Munkar. When the Haqq is spoken we remove and when vice takes place we silent?
