Al Kawthari claims:
“If modestly-dressed men and women are sat separately under one roof, listening to a talk, without a physical barrier, not intermingling/free mixing or talking, and entering/exiting from separate doors, and the male speaker is only looking at the men, no one can say that it is haram and sinful. Being in close proximity to members of the opposite gender cannot be the sole reason for prohibition, and anyone who thinks otherwise must provide evidence.”
Quraan Shareef says for our honourable mothers in the time of Sahaabah Radhiyallahu Anhum:
“When you ask them (the honourable pure wives of Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa Sallam), ask them from behind a curtain”

Mufti Muhammed ibn Adam Al Kawthari claims to be a celebrated student of his teacher Mufti Taqi Uthmaani and posters roaming around use this to sort of prove the self named “Al Kawthari’s” highness but let us look at what does Mufti Taqi say regarding these two breaking issues:

- Photography
Regarding intermingling his teacher, Mufti Taqi Saheb calls it “against the Quraan” and “clear cut Haraam”
2. Regarding Photography, Mufti Taqi Uthmaani tells Ulamaa to avoid this Haraam perhaps after realising what a blunder the permission for Haraam photography has caused in the Ummah:

Jamiatul Ulama SA in their headquarters Nurul Islam as well as Darul Ihsaan and MJC, the same three once again embrace and use such speakers because they are Haraamis and agents of Shaytaan. Due to this they need foreign speakers to come and water the Imaan of our Muslims in South Africa who have qualified seniors whom Allah Ta’alaa has given them the tawfeeq to lead this Ummah on Sunnah. But, that is exactly the threat! It does not blend with their modernisation plans!
